Arla HR corporate communicationOur Challenge“We need a tool that effectively supports our leadership development at all levels in Arla”. This was the challenge posed by Arla’s Human Resource (HR) department, which has worked closely with Kernel on a series of corporate communication projects over the last 5 years. Strategy and ActivationDifferent leadership roles each have their own criteria for what outstanding leadership is. Based on this insight, Arla wanted to communicate to each level of leaders exactly which competencies their respective roles required – and also how they differed from competencies required by leaders one level below and above. We decided to develop a multi-handbook concept to provide a clear understanding of the different roles and the requirements for advancing to higher leadership levels within the company. Execution and resultsWe created and designed a box set with five leadership handbooks that address leadership challenges and expectations at different levels in Arla Foods. The handbooks are now used every day by leaders at all organizational levels, and also serve as an Arla Foods tool for dialogue on leadership and leader potential. |
